The Witch's Egg is a magical apocalyptic romance about a witch named Urfi who falls in love with an angel; their forbidden love drives the angel insane, and Urfi has to flee with their children -- then, as the children grow up, they and Urfi work together to fix the broken relationship and pay their debts. The art is a wonderful combination of cute and macabre (think Adventure Time by way of The Nightmare Before Christmas), a great complement to this queer feminist epic quest adventure story.
