COL Financial research head April Lee Tan warned her followers about fake social media accounts using her name and photo.
The poser accounts have been soliciting funds from the public.
“Here’s the real April Tan! Thanks to all my friends who’ve called my attention to those impersonators,” she tweeted.
“One way to tell if it is me is to check when the account was opened. I’ve been in Twitter since 3/14. I also never ask people for money. I’m an analyst, not an agent FYI,” Tan said.
