SEC clears SMIC’s P30-Billion bond offer

 

SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) obtained the Securities and Exchange Commission’s nod to issue P30 billion worth of fixed rate bonds.

The initial tranche will comprise up to P10 billion worth of 3.5 year Series H bonds due in 2024.

Joint lead underwriters for the offer are BDO Capital, China Bank Capital, BPI Capital, First Metro Investments Corp. and SB Capital.

SMIC will use proceeds from the issue to refinance existing debts.
